About Brown & Polson Corn Flour
This is the original corn flour which is pure fine white corn starch milled from maize grain from which the outer hull and germ have been removed by a patented milling process. This original patent cornflour is so finely milled that it is naturally smoother than ordinary flour giving superior results when used in all cooking.
Add this cornflour to each egg white when making meringes to give a marshmallow gooey centre. When grilling or frying meat and fish, first coat with this cornflour to seal in the flavour. This cornflour can be used when stir frying to create thick glossy sauces. Use this to thicken soups, casseroles and stews. Bake melt-in-the-mouth pastry and biscuits by using corn flour for a shorter texture. So many possibilities with this corn flour!
